Our Story

We are Colby and Josefina.

We traded routine for the unknown, packed our lives into a 22-foot RV we named Gliding Eagle, and pointed it south.

Our destination is Patagonia, but this journey has never been about the finish line. It's about everything in between.

We're traveling from Northern California through Central and South America in search of the world's best waves, the most beautiful places, and the stories that most drive right past. 

Life on the road isn't always easy. We've faced breakdowns, uncertainty, missed plans, rough roads, and moments that have tested us in ways we never expected. But those trials have become some of our greatest teachers. They remind us that the best stories rarely come from everything going according to plan.

Drifting South is more than a road trip. It's a way of life.  It's choosing curiosity over comfort, experience over possessions, and the long road over the easy one.
